Brian Davies is a graduate of the University of Bristol, with an M.Th and a Ph.D from King’s College, London. He spent over a decade as a lecturer in Theology and Philosophy at the University of Oxford, before taking up his current post as Professor of Philosophy at Fordham University, New York in 1995.

Davies‘ An Introduction to the Philosophy of Religion is widely used on undergraduate philosophy of religion courses. It is now in its third edition, having been extensively revised to make it more student-friendly.

Davies himself is a Catholic priest, and a Dominican Friar.
